Default I have to admit, Willona was a buffoon!

She is having her boss and his wife over for a fancy dinner and she is serving pizza. If that's not stupid enough, she tells Florida that it was better than serving Chicken Delight. Huh?!?

Wouldn't fried chicken be a little better than pizza? At least with Chicken Delight, you can order sides like corn, bisquits and mashed potatoes. It would make the dinner a bit more impressive. She could also pretend that she actually cooked the dinner herself.

I so agree. Order the chicken and make baked potatos or mashed potatos. Boil up some corn on the cob or open a can of corn. Peel open a thing of biscuits and PRESTO! dinner.

Why did she need the salt and pepper for if she ordered pizza?

I guess to put garlic powder or grated cheese in them. lol

The fancy setting is immediately over once she put a pizza in front of the guests.

The writers really goofed here. There certainly could have been a better way of mentioning/showing the shakers.

So what did all that have to do with her being a "buffoon"? Maybe you should look that word up in Websters. I would say that was strange serving pizza to dinner guests that you are trying to impress, but I wouldn't call her a buffoon.

Absolutely, it is just my opinion. I think she matured as the show went on, she just acted a fool early on.

She may have been a clown during the John Amos Era, but certainly not a buffoon. During the James Evans era, Wilona was the galloping gossip of the ghetto.
