Arrow DeepDiscountDVD's Buy 1 Box Set, Get 1 Free deal

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/promo...g1_0806&page=0

DDD is listing 125 TV-DVD/movie box sets, and these are sale prices too (the Hunter sets are 17.99 each, when I originally brought Hunter S3 off DDD for 24.29 earlier this year). They have a lot of great TV-DVD sets on there- not just Sony titles, like they always seem to do. Deal ends on Tuesday, September 5, 2006, so you guys don't have a lot of time.

Okay, now my comments...

Anyway, Three's Company S7 is on there and I just brought it last night (17.99! Yay!). But when I got my order emailed to me from DDD, it said that Three's Company S7 was backordered. Does anybody have any experience w/ buying a DVD from there that ended up being backordered? I brought another movie from there along with Three's Company, and that particular movie is in stock. I'm just a little annoyed that this happened to me. I'm not in any hurry to get these DVDs (I put down free shipping- so, really, I'm not in a hurry to have them), but I'm just hoping that this doesn't take a month or something for me to get them. I really would like to have them before the end of the month.

Anyway... DDD has a great deal going on, and AMAZING prices! Three's Company S7 is 24.99 @ Best Buy, so DDD's price for TC S7 is a great deal.

There was a recent thread abt this same website and the Roseanne DVD's being back-ordered. The thread was made abt two weeks ago. Anyways, I have never purchased from that website. I have seen it.

We have a store in our local mall that offers every week a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE on different television shows. Each week they change the shows. They had Good Times at one time on sale...I am waiting for Good Times to again be on sale for Buy One Get One Free.

Is there a sales code that you have to use?

You'll really like DeepDiscountDVD, if you ever decide to purchase from their site. You can get large savings buying boxed sets there- when the Pee Wee's Playhouse sets (two of them total) were released back in November 2004, the total MSRP in brick-and-mortar stores would have been around $100. But, on DDD, they were $33 each, for a total cost of $66. So...I brought 'em from there (Vashti1999 is one other person I know brought the PWP sets from DDD, as well). I saved $40 buying the PWP sets via DDD. And when they have sales/offers, they always have REALLY great sale prices.

Not that I know of. I buy from DDD every few months (I have made like three other purchases from there this past year, I've been buying from DDD since 2004). I got it emailed to me.

It says at the bottom of that email to me - Buy 1 movie from the select list of titles and receive 1 of equal or lesser value free. When purchasing multiple movies you will be charged for the higher priced items and those of equal or lesser value will be at no charge. Offer ends 09/05/06. No mention of a sales code.

I ordered Roseanne S3 & 4, and it said S4 was backordered at the time I bought it. But then a week later I got an e-mail saying they both shipped. I haven't received them yet, but it should be soon.

Is there a list of what are the select items? Or maybe an easier question would be, is Frasier on that list?

Look at the link in my first post. That's the link to the list of DVDs that is in the offer.

And no, I didn't see Fraiser on the list. They do have a lot of sets I've never seen in previous DDD offers.

I think the longest I've waited for a backorder was 3 weeks, but that was during their annual 20% off sale. Usually it takes about 1-2 weeks for them to restock.

On August 23 I ordered both seasons of The Munsters ($18.15 each) and they were backordered. I received an email September 1 stating the sets had been mailed.

I ordered the same titles and they were backordered. I received an e-mail Tuesday saying that it was being shipped, and I received them today! This was my first encounter with deepdiscountdvd.com and I am very pleased. I will continue to buy from them.

Ugh, as much as I like DDD for their prices, I don't like much else.

In early May, I pre-ordered Punky Brewster which was supposed to be released on July 25. By mid early september, I still hadn't received a confirmation that it had been shipped. The DVD wasn't mailed until THREE weeks after the release date, and it took another 9 days to get to me (in california). I swear, I could have walked and picked it up quicker. I don't even think they mailed it when they said they did.

So, I didn't get it until late August, around a month after it was released. I know some people got it the day it was released (at a store), so there was no hold up there. I can't imagine DDD running out since I ordered in May.

I wish I had just been told by DDD that it would be a couple weeks wait, I would have just bought it at a store.

I've NEVER had a problem with DDD. Ever. They've been good to me. I guess a big factor is that I live closer to DDD's headquarters, located in Illinois, and I'm in North Dakota.

Sometimes I use their free shipping option, sometimes I use the 3-to-5 day shipping option. I've usually gotten my DVDs in 5 or 6 days with free shipping, or 3 to 4 days with 3-to-5 day shipping. *shrug*

Anyway, just an update to this thread that DDD has Three's Company S7 in stock again, and they just emailed me to let me know that they shipped my copy today. So, I should have it at the end of next week, methinks. I ordered a movie along with TC, and they shipped my movie a few days ago- I haven't gotten it yet, because I originally ordered the two together so I have free shipping on both.

I don't have a credit card -- I have a debit card, and that works just fine on their site.
