Why was Florence always complaing about how small her paycheck was when - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

she was accepted as one of the family, was a live in maid, didn't have to worry about food, or RENT, or BILLS-lol They may have only needed money for CLOTHES and that's it but I saw no need for her to constantly say how small her paycheck was when she was living with the Jeffersons

I agree, but perhaps Florence was looking to eventually move out and have a life of her own. She couldn't be their maid her whole life.

Was she given health insurance or did she have to pay out of pocket? Was she supporting anyone else? Was she trying to save money for the future? These are pertinent questions.

Someone doesn't have to have kids to be supporting someone. It could be a relative like a mother, father, sister, brother, etc. However, she would like to retire someday and of course, medical bills would incur in her lifetime, so how was she supposed to pay for medical without health insurance? Co-payments? Hospital payments? Doctors? Prescriptions?
