Default Just Exactly how much OLDER was Louise than George?

There was two times when someone made fun o her age. Mother Jefferson made fun of her Age when she asked her did she remember the blizzard of 1928 and then was George was pretending to be cheating with another woman, Louise asked him how old the woman was and George said-"OLD, she is even older than You" So was Louise 10 years or more older than George?-lol

I don't think so. It was obvious Mother J. was being sarcastic (as usual) and George was just being a "man" by saying something in reference to her age.

If you are wondering how much younger Sherman was in real life to Isabel here is some trivia for you:

Height
5' 6" (1.68 m)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trivia
Worked as a post office clerk before getting role on All in The Family.

Biography in: "Who's Who in Comedy" by Ronald L. Smith, pg. 211-212. New York: Facts on File, 1992. ISBN 0816023387

Played the same character, George Jefferson, on four different TV series and in a film: the TV series "All in the Family" (1971), "The Jeffersons (1975), "E/R" (1984) and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" (1990), and the film "Jane Austen's Mafia!" (1998).

George Jefferson, Hemsley's character on "The Jeffersons" (1975), was ranked #44 in TV Guide's list of the "50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time" [20 June 2004 issue].

Was over twenty years younger than his "The Jeffersons" (1975) co-star Isabel Sanford who played his wife on the series.

It couldn't have been that much of a difference, they both seemed to have come up around the same time from the things they talked about. I'd say maybe a year or two.

It couldn't be a year or two for George to say-"She's even older than you"lol Thay sounds like George married a Older woman. George was 46 and Louise was 54 in season 1

End of series

George was 56 Louise was 64

Just Speculation

They said their ages in season one?

When George said "She's older than you" can either be construed as sarcasm on his part (this was his nature you know) or trying to be funny.

In real life Sherman was 20 years younger than Isabel, which seemed to show in the first season. Later on, Isabel was very beautiful land had her wardrobe and make-up/hair done very nice.

But George is not going to say something like that if she wasn't older than him. George's age was stated in season as 46, so you know Louise wasn't younger that 46-lol

Why not??? I say sarcastic things to my man and abt him in front of him...he does the same...I have heard people do that all the time to be funny or sarcastic. I have told my man how I get tired of people thinking he is my father (referencing our age difference)...if one heard me say that, they may think I was being mean or honest.

I'm not saying that Louise was 20 years older on the show, i'm just saying that certain things lets you know she was older than George like 5 or 6 years. Remember how she couldn't dance every night at the disco? That was another example of her being older

So because she couldn't or didn't want to dance every night at a disco means she is older than her husband...A LOT OLDER????? Gimme a break Solomon, that is bogus. That don't mean squat. She was a heavy-set lady who would tire easily from dancing. George was thinner than her. Age has nothing to do with it. I know folks who are waaaay older than Louise appeared and they could still strut their stuff.

I think louise was lying about not remembering the blizzard of 1928 because she was over 46 on the show and when Mother Jefferson said it, it was 1976. So she could have been 8 or 9 in 1928 but she was defintely around to remember it and Mother Jefferson was around to remember the Blizzard of 88-lol They both were lying
