J.J was looking for a Job in the newspapers because He felt that he had to support Henrietta. So Florida says-

"Why are you so concerned about your Future all of a sudden?

Shouldn't a Mother be Happy her son is TAKING LIKE SERIOUSLY? Or maybe Florida had gotten used to him being ********-lol

I guess because he hadn't been serious abt his future before (other than his paintings) and this caught her off-guard. I agree, as a mother, she should be thankful, but she was being a mother as well by inquiring, "Why, why all of a sudden?"
