Yes I remember that so clearly! My husband and I were camping on that Labor Day weekend and we first heard about the accident on the radio late in the evening as we were sitting by the campfire. We didn't hear that she had died until the next morning So sad..............
May she rest in peace.

It's hard to believe it has been nine years since Diana's passing... the world has changed so much since her death. Often, I wonder what she would be doing now had she lived, whether or not she would have remarried or perhaps have had another child. It would have been lovely to see her find a bit of happiness in this world, but it wasn't meant to be...

It's an empty world for sure. Especially for those who she so dearly loved. I just seen a documentary abt her wedding last week. Knowing that Charles never loved her and married her for reasons other than love, it was disheartening watching that wedding and seeing his face...JERK. And seeing her face, and seeing how lovely she looked and the love she had for Charles. I seen the royal wedding in 1981 when and it was a different experience. I was like "Wow! Prince Charles made a great choice and they will be so happy." Boy, was I wrong.

People like her don't deserve to die that young. I was only 8 at the time so I didn't really know who she was and what it was all about, but I remember seeing coverage of the crash on the news and all over and figuring she must have been a pretty big deal. It's terrible.

Wow 9 years already. I can remember sitting online while all that was happening. and CNN reporting she died. I couldn't believe it. They almost made it sound like she was going to make it thru after the first reports.

I remember when that happened and I was only 5 at the time. Very sad and tragic. It's such a shame since she was a great person. R.I.P. Diana.

It's hard to believe it's been that long. It was Saturday night, and my husband and I were watching, America's Most Wanted. About 9:30, during a commercial break, it was just mentioned....no breaking news. It seemed as if it was no big deal.
I found that I couldn't get back into the show we were watching because I had a weird feeling about the accident, so I asked my husband to put on CNN . They were just starting to cover it. I remember my mother and I were back and forth on the phone. After a couple of hours, when there was no hospital spokesperson making any statements regarding her condition, I knew she was dead. I told my husband and my mother that I just knew that she was dead. They were probably notifying her family. It must have been about 12:30 am, and I was going to bed and turned on my bedroom tv, when Brian Williams reported that Diana had died. It's the first time I recall seeing him. I called my mother, and I was crying. I'll never forget that night. |

Can't believe it has been that long already. I certainly miss her.
I always followed her news and was a big fan.I was sleeping when the news of her death broke, the day of her funeral I found out I was pregnant and was going to name my child after her. |
