If I worked there, my collection would make Lamont's look small!

Dolly Parton visits - CBS W/orig. commercials 10-27-76
12-8-1984 CBS- No commercials
2- early 60`s black / white shows
A few other misc. early 60`s stuff.

That`s `bout all

I know someone who has a few 70`s episodes but it`s on 2 inch videotape.
I`m trying to help her find a place that can transfer them.

I think it requires a quad video tape player as they are broadcast tapes from the 1976-80 time frame.

Strange. My copy from 12-8-84 has all the commercials.

Yes, there`s 2 different recordings of that 1984 show around. One with commercials and one without. The one without commercials has the open credits slightly cut.
I found a place in San Francisco that has a machine for 2 inch videotape.
This person has a few shows between 1976 and 1980.
The shows are all with original commercials as broadcast on CBS.
I`m chipping in for the transfer of at least one of the shows along with another fan of the show. Were going to try to do the show with Debbie Weems singing a number. It could take months but eventually I should be able to get that show. It depends on the costs of transferring the tape.
If the costs aren`t too high we may get another show transferred.

I got my copy off the master with the commercials 10 years ago, I didnt know a copy existed w/o commercials. The show was just canceled abruptly by CBS right so there was no actual final show in terms of saying goodbye to the fans of the series?

That`s correct. No real final show. Just CBS pulling the plug as they did with other shows - example - Archie Bunker`s Place.
Very sad no real final show!
