Thumbs up ***The TEACHER APPRECIATION Thread!!!***

Where would we be without these wonderful people to educate us and our children? Teachers work so hard for so little pay and even less respect. I think we should all take a moment to praise teachers for what they do for society. These people could have picked a profession with a higher salary and level of respect, but they chose to dedicate their lives to educating other people's children and encouraging them to grow. I work alongside many fine teachers and to be honest, I don't know how they do it without losing their sanity. People who claim a teacher's job is easy obviously never set foot in a classroom or tried to deal with a whole bunch of kids at once.

If you can read this post, thank a teacher.

I miss my high school teachers so much. They were seriously the best part of high school.

If you said that in New York City, you'd probably get your *** killed. Here in NYC, the teachers are horrible and their salary is double a fireman and a cop. In 12 grades of school, I liked maybe 4 or 5 teachers at the most(mainly because they could tolerate me).

Over the weekend I was going through a lot of old stuff from the attic at my Parents house, and I looked through some old yearbooks from grade school and High School.

I had many great teachers who taught me plenty.

Mr. Weinstein, (my 5th grade teacher) if you're reading this, you the man!

M.C.H. was the best college teacher who stood out during my first year in college and even today (even all my required schooling put together). She was all-around nice, caring, and very encouraging. I got a chance to work with her when I started working at my current job. It was really nice being able to see her!

She then became sick in late 2000 and had such a horrible surgery experience. Fortunately, she did make it through, but she was going through chemotherapy and was exhausted from teaching. So, she retired August 2002 (four years ago). But, she is just the best teacher I have ever come across!
