I couldn't believe it when my mamaw told me this
I live in KY. And she told me that a man had been hiding out about 20min. away from where she lives and where i use to live! They took him in for questioning. Thank God! It is about 2hrs. - 2hrs. and 20min. from where I live now.
I couldnt believe someone directly linked to this whole tragedy would hide out in KY. I was very surprised. That kinda makes me feel funny. Word, Bootsy. How would you know he was a terrorist? Because he is an Arab? Because he is muslim? Jokes of this nature are not funny and has led to decades of intolerance and hatred in our country - something we do not need right now. Not to mention that it is ignorant. Vigilante justice has no place in this country. Please don't joke around about it.
Also, I hope we can put an end to some of these "I heard Podunk, Montana was a target". Chances are, it probably wasn't, and if it is, you are safe now, No need to add more widespread panic and fear if it is not needed. I work in the Sears Tower, and as the tallest building in North America, many people feel that it is a valid target. I have to go to work every day with people who are truly frightened for their lives. We were evacuated on friday because someone thought that the window washing rig was a bomb. No fooling. I don't like having to live my life in fear like this. This whole spreading panic among other people telling them that I think this site is a target does not help us get back to our everyday lives. Please, put your faith in our government to prevent any subsequent attacks from happening and to punish the perpetrators. |
