hated the finale. Elaine Joyce annoys me in all of her roles (nothing personal against her, she just has a squeaky voice that bugs me) and besides, why was she the center of a Green Acres episode?? I think they wanted to do a spin-off with Elaine Joyce and the other characters, but why did they have to do that episode for GA's final show? I always wished Green Acres had had a suitable ending...
What would you have done if it were up to you to decide on Green Acres' ending? I would have probably made some sort of sugary episode (like the Christmas episode they had) where Oliver finally succeeds in his farming, Lisa learns how to cook, and Eb wins a million dollars...some happy ending. With lots of humor mixed in, of course!

I to hated the ending but if it were to end I guess I'd have Oliver and Lisa move back to New York or something like that to actually end everything, but at the end have Oliver sitting in New York after a year or two of living there and complaining about it, just to show that it will start all over again. As you can see I don't really care for the ending where everything is perfect, it just seems to fake to me.

I would have loved to see Eb's parents and Hanneys wife. Maybe even Sarah from the phone company. Since Petticoat Junction ended the year before GA did it would have been good to see some of them one more time too

I never knew the show HAD a finale. I always thought it just "ended" like THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES and PETTICOAT JUNCTION.
What was the finale about? |

Oops, I should have worded it differently, but the "finale" was all about a ditzy ex-secretary of Oliver's and the cast didn't appear in the episode at all--except for scenes with Mr. Douglas briefly speaking to his ex-secretary on the phone. Really pointless and I forget what Oliver's former secretary was doing (there was some problem with her new boss). I wish there had been a real ending to the show, or a good final episode.

oh, THAT episode! That was the last episode? I didn't know that; I knew it was the pilot for another show, though.
