Post A First Hand View of the Pentagon Attack

I've mentioned on here my brother's friend who was in the pentagon when the plane hit. Well, he emailed my brother the other day telling him about what all happened to him. I thought I would post it here. We have heard about what happened in New York, now hear what happened to some in the Pentagon.

Quote:
I'm OK ...... it was a close one for me and a co-worker, but I'm OK. We were literally at ground zero ... the plane impacted the building about 100-150 feet from my office ... and I was thrown about 25 feet at the moment of impact, and had to crawl over burning walls and threw smoke too thick to breathe in. I escaped with my life today, but my instincts didn't fail me while we crawled out of the rubble toward the place I KNEW we could get out, and we even helped our fellow humans along the way to get over walls and out. I refused to die in that tomb, and we punched our way through.

I'm still dealing with it all, and will be at the doctor tomorrow for my knee, which suffered an obvious blow that's gotten progressively worse and has left me hobbling. My hands are scratched up too, but that's from the climb out as I pulled my way up and over walls, and clawed through a hole in a cement floor from above, which fell like a garage door and blocked our path. I had to push some re-enforcement wire back so we could climb through a damaged section of the cement.

I'm also still trying to calm my family down, as they were very badly shaken by the news. Give me a couple days and I'll get back to you.

I've been running on adrinylin (sp?) all day, and will probably wind up a shuttering, shaking, crying mess in the corner of my apartment before this night is over. I'll never forget the sound of that crash, or the anticipation of what was about to happen to me as the walls came crashing in and I was being thrown into our studios next door.

I'll be in touch ... and I'll fill everybody in very soon. I promise.

One funny story being told is about my comments to my co-worker Carl, who told others much later in the day, how he just remembers me climbing across the rubble to him and, upon seeing he could walk on his own, stood up, grab a wire hanging from what was left of the ceiling to get my feet over a col lapsed wall, and said "Let's get outa here, cowboy" hahahahahahahahahaha! I said, yup ... that sure enuff sounds like something I'd say.

David .. alive and well

A day that will never be forgotten because WE will not let it be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the friends and families involved in these horrendous acts against humanity. They will NEVER be forgotten. We will NOT let the terrorists cause terror all across our great nation. We will continue, and we WILL survive.

To those that lost their lives September 11, 2001: Vaya con Dios!

Yea, he will be. He has at least one surgery ahead of him for his knee, but he will be fine.
