Default The 50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time--- hosted by Bil Dwyer

All summer long GSN has been counting down to these final three days of the 50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time. It's down to the wire, so at this crucial stage, what shows do you think should've had the honor of being in the final seven greatest games?

My picks:

7. PASSWORD
6. PRESS YOUR LUCK
5. FAMILY FEUD
4. MILLIONAIRE
3. WHEEL OF FORTUNE
2. JEOPARDY

and the greatest game show of All Time--- THE PRICE IS RIGHT. For 34 years and counting, Bob Barker has hosted this mega-hit that has been going over well with young and old alike since its debut on CBS. I'm sure they knew they had struck gold from the moment the first show was over and the excitement level died down after all had left the studio. Bravo to Bob, the models, the late Rod Roddy, and our current announcer who does Rod Roddy proud--- Rich Fields.

What's your picks?

Pat

1. Match Game (no contest!!!)
2. The Newlywed Game (love Bob Eubanks!)
3. The Hollywood Squares (the original version--love it, even though the stars were scripted)
4. Tattletales (very funny--wish GSN would pick it up again, along with THS)
5. Family Feud (I love both the Dawson and Combs versions--don't really like any of the other hosts, though.)

I must admit I've only been watching bits and pieces of this special. Has Match Game been ranked yet?

It has to be TPIR... First of all, it is the longest running game show. Bob Barker is a warm and funny host. People of all ages have been on that show. Contestants don't have to be so damn intelligient in world history or geography...they just need to know prices, that is something all people can relate to. You come away a winner somehow. The show reaches an audience from kids to senior citizens. It is easy. Overall, those factors should make it number one. It is number one in my book.

Hmm, I must be the only one who doesn't like TPIR (I've tried watching it for years, but it always annoys me all the same) but I agree that it'll probably be #1, since it's been on for so long and since it has so many fans...and it always ranks highest in these kinds of polls. If MG hasn't been ranked yet, I'm still hoping it will win. GSN has aired that for years, and they're choosing the shows, so it might still have a chance.

Match Game is a good show too I forgot to put it in my countdown. I'm thinking that TPIR is not going to have a show all to its self, since GSN, to my knowledge, has never aired it. Wishful thinking that it will air though.

I think since the title is Greatest Game Show of all time, not, Greatest game shows ever shown on GSN, TPIR will win hands down.

Not sure what the GSN network execs will pick (they're the ones doing the voting). My guesses are Match Game, Jeopardy!, or The Price is Right, if none of them have been ranked yet. (*crosses fingers for Match Game*, 'cause that's the best )

TPIR was only #4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can they do that? Say FAMILY FEUD is better than TPIR! It's a good game in it's own right, but come on, how could you put anything in front of TPIR! And my suspicion was right that no episode would be aired since it has never aired on GSN.

That blows. MATCH GAME and JEOPARDY should round out the list.
