My Perfect World

If I could grant myself one wish,
I would wish for world happiness.
No wars would be fought,
No guns would be bought.
Terror would not be a word, along with fear,
and words like hatrid and crime you would never hear.
Innocent people would not be hurt for no reason,
In my perfect world there would not even be any teasing.
Everyone would get along no matter what religion or race,
However, in the real world this is not the case.
Mothers and Fathers taken away,
Although all that they wanted was to say,
Was one last I love you, that's all they would ask,
But unfortunatley many have already passed...

This poem is in memory of all the thousands of people killed today in the terrible tragedy which took place in NYC and DC..sorry if it's bad..i just wrote it off the top of my head...

Woke up and realised, This world's not, So bad after all, Looked at it through, A child's eyes, and, I saw these beautiful, Things that you, Never think about, Like the ocean, moonlight, Stars and clouds, It's amazing how, We don't appreciate, Our blessings, There's plenty of people, Who don't like me, But since there are more
Who love me and, I love myself, Sometimes, it gets tough, It gets tough, But I can't give up, Can't give up, Just take a deep breath, Close my eyes, Feel the love and

That was so not "bad." It was extremely touching and from the heart. Good job on expressing such deep feelings in such a way. I agree with whoever said that writing (or anything you enjoy) can help take the grief. At least it can focus your energies on something positive.
