Default Anyone ever felt sorry for Mr. Bently?

I did. because even though he was weird, he was a good guy. he had no steady woman, and hardly any family, and when he came to the Jefferson apt, he got treated with no respect. He came over as a friend. I remember one episode, where Bently's sister was coming over and was suppose to entertain George. George, on the low did not want any part odf it, and was talking about her bad and Bently overheard it. the look on bently's face was long (literally and figurally) and real sad. I felt bad for Bently, because he wanted to be George's friend, and George dissed him.

Mr. Bentley is my favorite supporting character on The Jeffersons. I've noticed in watching the dvds that he came over to the Jeffersons' apartment in almost every episode.

Mr. Bentley was a kind man, and I also felt bad for him when George was too harsh towards him.

I didn't because when you present yourself like a FOOL, you can't expect people to take you seriously. Example: meeting someone for the first time and asking them to walk on your back. So no he was a IDIOT-lol

This response doesn't surprise me at all. I knew you would say that.

Mr. Bentley was a bit eccentric, but deep down was as sweet as can be.

I am glad I'm not the only one who felt sorry for Mr. Bently. For example, at his birthday dinner...poor guy! LOL!!! Like Brian Damage said, he's a good guy at heart. A bit eccentric, but who isn't? I like Mr. Bently's character. He's hillarious!

Bentley was great. He really added just the right touch to this series. The episodes that focus on him generally aren't that good though I missed seeing him in the 8th and 9th seasons. After Lionel he's my favorite supporting character.

And when he returned after being gone for two years, George still slammed the door in his face.-lol
