I was born in 79, and I don't recall ever having smoking on a plane.

When did they ban smoking on airplanes, it was the late 80s early 90s. I'm pretty sure it was banned the first time I was on a plane in 1992.

I don't remember it on my first plane ride in 85. Maybe it was still on certain flights and not others. *shrugs*

I had to search but I found it: On February 25, 1990, the “no-smoking” sign was permanently lit on U.S. domestic airline flights.

Okay, NOW I get it. I have never heard of Sara Lee owning underwear companies, so thank you for letting me know what the companies in question were.

Pretty sure a lot of the younguns here don't remember having to lick stamps. Man, I hated licking stamps...Not to mention, you had to be careful when you were tearing off the stamp from other stamps. You didn't want to ruin a stamp.

I went on my first plane ride(s) in January of 1990, a month before this took effect...I remember people smoking on the plane.
