Default Three things that bothered me about "The Evans' Dilemma"

These are three things that bothered me about this episode on TV Land

1. TV Land edited out the scene where Michael gets in Keith's face after slapping Thelma.

2. Nobody rushes into the bedroom after Keith throws the bottle of Vodka against the door.

3. No Florida

No matter how many times I have seen this show, and particularly this episode, I will never forget how Michael got into his face. I am so glad I got to see GT as it was meant to be seen...UNEDITED!

I know we have had this discussion before, but it warrants another discussion: WHY DIDN'T THE GUYS GET ON KEITH?????? Yes, he was under the influence, but no one even intervened or did anything!!!!!!
I know you know what I mean Brian, come on, I don't care, if I saw my brother-in-law lay his hands on my sister, I would be on him so fast, he wouldn't see me coming at him. I know if my late brother were alive and seen me get slapped....Ohhhhhhh, I can't even describe what he would do to anyone who did that to me.

I agree, if that was my daughter or my sister, I would've given Keith a beat down. At least in the unedited version, Michael at least did something. JJ did nothing like a punk. It would've been nice to see how Florida would've reacted to it too.

I know JJ just making a face and putting his hand up to Keith and turning his head did NOTHING FOR ME. I know that no matter what, a brother would not just stand there and DO NOTHING. Even if JJ had tried to go after him and Keith's friend held him back, that would have been nice to see.

Hell, even Keith's friend should have grabbed a hold of Keith and told him off.

Florida...had she been there, WOW!!!!!!!! Even if Florida hadn't been in the apt. when it occurred, imagine she comes home and finds out what Keith did...WHOOOOOOOOOOO, LORD HAVE MERCY ON KEITH'S SOUL.

That's the other thing that bothers me about that episode, Keith smashes a bottle against the wall and NOBODY rushes in to see what happened. That is bull****!

Oh yeah, thanx for reminding me of that crap.

C'mon, after seeing how angry Keith got and slapping Thelma, what did they all think was going on in the bedroom????? Common sense would have told me, go check out what happened. Did he try to hit her with it? Did he throw it out of anger? Are they fighting? Stupid stupid stupid!

I don't think Keith would have slapped Thelma if her Mother was there. Or then again maybe he would have because he was drunk-lol

Like I said last time, The walls in that place was so thin, Michael and JJ heard everything, So there was no need to rush to their door. Although it would have been great if they would have showed Kieth explaining himself to JJ and Michael in the end, or have Michael and JJ knock on the door to see if everything was ok (in a nosy way).

I agree - the walls in that place were so thin, I'm surprised Bookman didn't hear what was going on. I assume all the guys were right outside the door in case things really got out of hand. I also agree that Keith was a real jerk under the influence, but oddly this is one of my favorite episodes. Bern Nadette Stanis and Ben Powers rise to the occasion with excellent performances, especially Miss Stanis with the "EVERYTHING!" line. "You are still my husband, whether you're playing in the Super Bowl or driving people to it!!" Hopefully Keith remained sober forever after that. I like to think he did.

P.S. Why wasn't the name of this episode titled "The ANDERSONS' Dilemma"? The episode was centered around Keith and Thelma Anderson, after all.
