"Leave it there, the cat'll get it."
This had to be one of the funniest ad-libs in the Classic 39, but it was also a perennial favorite of Art Carney. Not only did he say it in "Alice and the Blonde," but he repeated it when he had a walk-on on the American Scene Magazine and in the 1977 film Scott Joplin in which he co-starred with Billy Dee Williams.
