Carrie Heffernan on the King of Queens, remindeds me alot like Alice Kramden. Just like Alice she dosn't take no crap from her Husband, alway warning him and trying to stop him from his many schems. But she is also a loving and devoted wife as well. Like a new school Alice.

Well Kevin James is a big fan of Gleason so you can see the influence on the King Of Queens with things like this. They actually did a spoof of the Honeymooners in one episode, I'm not sure which one though.

That's why I love the KOQ because it reminds me so much of the HM,only a new school verson but nothings like the classic HM !
In fact I seen a documentry about the KOQ and they said that when CBS and Kevin James was creating this show they based this show from the HM. They wanted to give it a Honeymooners feel they said but more updated.

In a weird way, Kevin James has the same shape as Jackie Gleason.

And yet, it was Brad Garrett who actually played Jackie Gleason, in that made-for-TV biopic. Alas, not only was Garrett much taller, but his voice was a tad deeper.
