Question When and Where do you think will be the next time we see the Hogans?

What channel and what year do you think we'll finally see the Hogans back on in the states?

I'd say Fox Family Channel but it seems they have all ABC comedies and since Fox Family was bought out by ABC, probably not. So, I guess I'll say...hmmm...I really don't know to tell you the truth. I'd say TNN but they're so caught up in Star Trek that I don't think they'd even pick up the Hogan Family anymore! Probably if any major station, it'd be PAX again. Maybe a local affiliate though, like a WB station? I think either way we'll see the Hogans back within 2 years--so by September 2003, I think we might actually get our fix! Man, now I'm depressed after thinking it might take 2 years.

What do you all think?

I really hope a network picks up the show. I wouldn't watch THF on PAX when it was airing because of my cable setup, and even though I heard from time to time that they're showing was horrible I would do about anything to just see it again!! I keep checking Columbia House... nothing. They have shows from the 90's on there that they're calling "classics". Hello! Give me the great 80's sitcoms!!!!

It's a toss up at this point. I could definitely see Nick-at-Nite running the show, along with "Alf" or some other sitcom from the same period.

I also think TV Land would be a good contender too. A few years ago (1995?), a local channel (channel 11) ran the show for about 10 months and it was the first time I ever saw the show in syndication. I was so glad since there were a lot of "Valerie" eps that I wanted, along with some Sandy eps as well (I love the show where she doesn't sleep for like 3 days!). Channel 38 also ran the show during the day like at 1:00pm in 1997 or thereabouts.

The only thing is I never saw anything advertised so it's a hit or miss situation. Same thing happened with PAX. I found out about their showing the show through Todd's homepage. Who knows how long it'd have taken me if not for this page?

I can suggest something though. How about making visits to this page? http://64.224.98.25/stars/jbateman.html

It's usually accurate and it tells when Jason Bateman (or anyone else for that matter) what they're starring in for the current month. Maybe something will turn up.

I think we should try to get others to get Columbia House to release the show on video instead. Think about it. You'd get 4 shows per tape and they'd be in their ENTIRETY. Syndicates always edit out certain lines (and jokes) so they can fit in more commercials. Besides, it's bound to go off the air even if it does come back at some point. I'd rather have the show on tape. Actually, I'd rather have it on DVD. It may take some time, but it can be done. I just can't do it alone.

What say you?

Ed

I would really like to have it on DVD. I've been calling that number still if that helps. The only other thing I can suggest is a petition that we e-mail to Columbia House.

Default Chicago Fans

I will say that WGN Channel 9 will air it. I am sure they will air like they should without extra commercials and no voiceovers or anything over the clsoing theme credits. WGN also airs classic gems like Perfect Strangers. Prehaps, if NAN is so smart, they could air THF. IT seems that NAN has not added any new shows so it seems that if they air THF, we could prehaps beat my local UPN station. UPN in Chicago aired it from 1996 to 1998. Just imagine NAN beating NBC's 5 year airings. This would be a real show stopper for millions of NAN viewers. There are still several chances to see this show.
