What did David's Dad do? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm confused. I was re-watching "The Son Also Rises" and I'm trying to figure out what David's Dad did for a living. Stephanie tells David that when she met his Dad at a bar he said he owned something. Did he own the bar they were at? I never understood that part.

David's Dad owned Seaside Fish......I always assumed it was a fish store, because there is no actual seaside (to do fishing from) in South Philadelphia.
