I'm sure his duties are limited. I tended bar for years, and it's back breaking work...carrying cases of beer and wine and those big buckets of ice. I haven't done it for 12 years, and I still have the bursitis in my shoulders that flares up. Bartending is a tough racket.

Why wouldn't you want to be working til 90? My father worked two weeks up until he died, he was almost 84. He ran his business full-time 5 days a week. Like he always said, "Retire? and do what? Stay home and watch t.v.? NO THANK YOU."

well Sherwood Schwartz will turn 90 and he is still producing and writing for shows and other projects. He enjoys doing it and if it makes him happy I think it is a good thing. I don't know if I would want to retire in my 50's or that early because the average age to live to is mid to late 70's. That would be almost 25 years retired. I know I would get bored.

good for him. i love bartending, but i doubt I'm going to be doing it until i'm that old....or even if I live that long ha.

Most people wouldn't want to work until they're 90. They want to travel, have more time to spend with family, golf, hobbies, whatever. Enjoy what they've worked for all their lives. It's a personal decision. I would never want to work my entire life, no matter how much I loved my job. There's nothing wrong with retiring.
