Default if judy had stayed on

How would the later seasons have been different if Judy had stayed on the show?

Of course, that depends on how they would develope her. But I think they really missed out on the opportunity to make the girl interesting. She was almost a teenager. She could easily have been given storylines. She might have started dating, for example.

I think I read awhile that Judy was the least popular of all the characters on the show. Well they didn't even bother to fully develop the character like they did the others so no wonder she wasn't popular.

Yeah I mean even Little Richie got more attention than she did.

Yeah, he got much more attention. My sister asked recently "Why did they make her so boring?" Couldn't they at least have put a little effort into developing her personality.

I noticed that in season 1 she did not have any storylines directly about her but she got much more attention and screen time because season 1 was basically about the family as a whole. Season 2, they gave her some attention with some subplots. So it look like in season 2 there were trying a little to do something with her but by season 3 they just gave up developing her character and she was just there.

Oh, so I guess it's Steve's fault, that Judy didn't get attention in season 3 and 4? Yeah, bad bad Steve, turning a mediocre show into something worth remembering. Okay, I'm sorry, but you made it sound like that. Well, I like Steve, and it wasn't his fault, that Judy disappeared. It was bad writers, who also thought it was a good idea to marry Steve off to Laura instead of Myra. There was room for both Steve and Judy on the show.

And I also wonder about why they got rid of Valerie Jones and took Jaimee Foxworth instead.

Well I never said it was Steve's fault at all so don't assume thats what I meant because thats not what I meant at all. It was the writers fault that they did not develop Judy's character. The point I was trying to make is that the writers just gave up on making Judy interesting by season 3, and I am not blaming it on Steve, because they did a pretty good job in developing all the other characters despite having Steve on there, they just neglected to develop Judy.

If Judy had stayed, they could have developed Laura into the responsible older sibling that Eddie rarely was for her.

Or, maybe even continue to develop the sibling rivalry Laura and Judy had in season one and give Judy a crush on Stefan.

They could also have played up the empty nest angle as Carl and Harriette prepare themselves for their youngest child to leave home.

And I know just the perfect boyfriend for Judy: Wesley T. Owens.

Cool

Well for starters if Judy had stayed on the show there wouldn't be a thousand threads on S.O. asking what ever happened to Judy Winslow?!?!
