when it's a person i'm angry at, i go after them. it resolves the issue when done properly, nothing else than that satisfies me. right now i am very, VERY pissed off at someone and the only reason i'm not confronting them is for the sake of someone else i care about.

Unfortunately, I handle my anger in a not-so-well manner. I don't know how to approach it well. I either fall under "completely ignore and let it get to me" or "blow up at the person." I recently blew up at someone, and it caused more anger and some resentment and even hurt feelings on their behalf. I used something hurtful against the person, but that wasn't the best way to handle it. I felt I had to stomp over them to release my anger. However, I end up regretting it later on. I tend to act upon without thinking. My regret consists of later realizing, "Whoa...."

With that being said....once I am into this hole, how do I apologize for no hard feelings?

What helps me get rid of anger?? Usually things I regret doing later on. Sad, but true.

actually now that I think about it, I don't know...I just stay angry I guess. Maybe that's why I'm so miserable.

Depends on the situations. Talking doesn't always HELP. Once in awhile,I take a walk. To cool off. If they try to see my point,I try to see theirs.

Some of the medication I'm on, especially Prednisone, causes really bad mood swings. I've had to walk away from situations a number of times, even sometimes at work when dealing with unreasonably irate customers.

I don't recommend this (and only condone it as a last resort), but I've been prescribed Xanax for anxiety attacks, and I've found that it really helps me calm down when I'm angry.

I guess you could say the same for me. I could suddenly feel resentment and anger over something that someone did to me over 7 years ago. I tend to dwell on things I guess.

When I'm angry with someone, I usually don't show it. There have been times at school when people have angered me, and I haven't screamed or shouted at them, or tried to hit them, but remained quiet and passive (quite a few of the times, I'd start crying, as well, especially when I was younger.)

But basically, I can be boiling inside, but not let it show. When the party bothering me has finally stopped, or gone away, then I usually just sit and steam for a while. I'm not proud of this, but sometimes I imagine myself hitting and kicking whoever has got me angry (this is usually in extreme cases.) I hate doing that, and I know it's a horrible thing to do, but I can't seem to help doing it.

I usually come across as a bit of a pushover, since I rarely show that I'm angry when other people have bothered me.

Usually, when I'm mad I either yell at the person who got me mad, which isn't the best thing, or I just beat the heck out of a pillow. That helps.

Yelling at the cause of the anger is good. I also cry, throw and kick things. But when I'm being an adult, I usually distance myself from the situation by taking a walk or drive, listen to my favorite music or watch something funny on TV.
