Searching for Dynasty complete set among other things - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi, I haven't been on here in a long time, but I am looking for the complete sets of Dynasty, Soul Food, and the last season of the practice, as well as as many episodes of the smurfs as I can get. Anyone out there can help I have

Charmed COMPLETE
The Practice SEASONS 1-7
Girlfriends Complete except for shows starting in September

be careful, there is a real nasty set of dynasty that a scammer--thief is selling on one of the sale areas---

its terrible at best, but advertised--as all of his things are--as an 8 or better

some may have filtered into the trade sceene

yes, i have that same DYNASTY set

it was LISTED as 8 of 10 quality
WELL.... some eps are 8 of 10, that is true
some are even 8.5 of 10!!!

HOWEVER some are 6.5 of 10
and some eps are OUT OF ORDER (which matters a lot on a soap opera!)
i have the set, and its watchable at worst and some are good, but it aint as it was said to be when i got it

i got it from a guy in MD and was pretty disappointed
so far that is the only set i have seen out there

its nice that lamont told the correct grade story

i bet most of the rest woulnt do that, since they are trying to unload what they got stuck with

know your trade partner and their references

theres lot of bs artists out there

well the thing is
that i TRIED hard to SQUINT and convince myself that the whole set was 8.5
but i couldnt do it

the first batch of discs are all very nice, 8.5 of 10
then they start to fluctuate like crazy
1 ep might be a 7.5, the next is 8, the next is a 6.5 (3rd gen vhs tape) and so on

i tried to give the benefit of the doubt to the guy i got it from, but then learned that this was a STANDARD with him, he rated ALL his sets as 8 of 10, regardless of what it was

so id rather be honest and let people know upfront that the set is not as good as others have said, BEFORE they trade for it and get ticked off

if u like the show, its fine to watch and its all there--- but it sure aint a solid 8
and ive found its best to let someone know upfront so they can make an informed choice
