to George about how him and Alan played the dozens the last time he came to visit if the Alan Willis character wasn't played by the same actor? This was in Homecoming Part 1. I was surprised they even brought that up since it wouldn't be the same due to a Different actor

It's the same as when the Jeffersons and the Willis' were on AITF and Tom Willis was played by another actor.

I don't think you follow me, I'm saying it's not consistent to have a NEW ACTOR playing the Role of alan to play the dozens with George when it wasn't the Actor who Originally played the role in 75 and played the dozens. Since it was a New actor they could have just pretended that they never played the dozens before |

And the Tom Wills that was on AITF wasn't corny like the one of The Jeffersons. I understand what your saying, there being two different actors has nothing to do with the character. |

I understand, also they had Roxie Roker playing Helen on AITF. You didn't read what I said at the end of my post. There's a difference between actors and the characters. They had two different Lionel and yet Mike Evans and Damon Evans looked nothing alike but they were the same character. |

Roxie Roker was not on All in the Family, it was a aITF Ep but the Jeffersons pilot and it was in the Jeffersons APT so I wouldn't say she played Helen on AlTF. Now zara cully played Mother Jefferson on AITF but that was it for supporting characters. Brie I know there were two lionels I'm just saying they could have just LEFT THE DOZENS convo out of the episode when it came to the Alan Willis character |

EXCUSE ME!! Roxie was in an AITF episode, I don't care if it was all about the Jeffersons, it was still an AITF episode. If you get the DVD it will be in the AITF set. And I was pointing out that there were two Lionels just like there were two Allan's. And when the second Lionel had a fight with George he didn't yell and act like the first one. So it's the same with the two Allan's. |

I guess u have a point but the fact that she was seen for the first time in the Jeffersons place, I don't consider it a REAL AITF appearance even if that ep is on the AITF DVD |

What Brie is (very clearly) trying to say is that this thread shouldn't even exist because it doesn't matter who the actor was, the character was STILL Alan Willis, so there's absolutely no reason for them to not refer to something involving the previous actor, because it's the SAME CHARACTER. Sheesh.
