This idea just occurred to me: since we collectively have a pretty good knowledge base of what stories have been profiled on UM and when, why not add names to those descriptions in TJ's episode guide? I wonder if TJ would be interested in doing something like this. Granted I can't do it all, but I'll start off...
"Special #4 November 29, 1987 Synopsis: Robert Stack hosts this fourth edition of the program that uses interviews with witnesses and reenactments to examine real-life mysteries. Included the suspicious death of a woman whose husband collected $325,000 in insurance before he disappeared; the disappearance of a woman who suffered from agoraphobia; the unexplained circumstances surrounding a fatal car accident in Oklahoma; the discovery of a human skull suspected to be that of a man who vanished with his wife on a Grand Canyon rafting trip in 1928. (Repeated December 28, 1988) " Dave Davis, Dottie Caylor, Aileen Conway, Glen and Bessy Hyde. "Special #5 February 5, 1988 Synopsis: Robert Stack examines the real-life mysteries involving the suspected teen-cult murder of a 17-year old in San Francisco; the FBI manhunt for a high-school fugitive wanted for kidnapping, robbery and murder; a man sentenced to life imprisonment, whose guilt has been challenged by five alibi witnesses; and the search for a newsstand owner's heirs." Kurt McFall, Missy Munday and Jerry Strickland, Michael Scott Martin, Charles Scheel. "Special #6 May 6, 1988 Synopsis: Host Robert Stack details unsolved crimes such as a Hagerstown, Md., case in which the psychic powers of a New Jersey woman are put to the test; and the case of an Iowa credit union employee who disappeared with more than $1 million in untraceable bills. Also a report on a bag of undelivered letters found in an attic and addressed to World War II servicemen; updates on previous reports." Psychic Dorothy Allison, Steve Hadley, update: Jerry Strickland and Missy Munday caught. "Special #7 May 18, 1988 Synopsis: Segments on a Woonsocket, R.I., amnesiac who survived a brutal attack; a "Con Juan" who preys on women, stealing their hearts and life savings; a Wellsville, Pa., housewife suspected of aiding a convicted murderer in a prison escape; and treasure hunters who claim to have deciphered a code that may lead to $21 million in gold and silver buried by a miner in 1821." Doreen Picard and Susan Lafferte, Louis Carlucci, John Yount and Diane Brodbeck, Beale's Lost Mine. "October 5, 1988 The occasional series begins a weekly run, focusing first on UFO sightings over Gulf Breeze, Fla.; a fugitive wanted for two murders, who escaped from a Tennessee prison more than 10 years ago; and a divorced mother from Maine who vanished while dating from the personals columns." Ed Walters, Joe Sheppard, Gayle Delano. "October 12, 1988 A recap of D.B. Cooper’s 1971 airline hijacking and extortion, and his subsequent disappearance after parachuting out of the plane over Washington State; new forensic evidence suggesting murder in the 1987 deaths of two teenage boys on a Bryant, Ark., railroad track; a story on missing memorabilia acquired by a Medford, Ore., sports collector, who died in Las Vegas in 1987; and an update on a previous report on a prison escapee." Don Henry and Kevin Ives, Dennis Walker, update: John Yount and Diane Brodbeck (?) |

Yes, I would definitely like to have a more detailed episode guide. I've asked for help in the past and received a few responses, but nobody has ever followed up with it. If all the information could be updated in one thread or e-mailed to me, I'll update the episode guide.
Justin, the detailed episode summaries like you have listed on your trade list are more of what I would like to add. I would rather have the episode guide broken down with specific information on each case like: Unexplained Death - Kurt Sova - details on the case Misisng Persons - Adam Hecht Lost Loves - Patty English Fraud - Ron Rushton Final Appeal - John Brannion Mysterious Legends - D.B. Cooper Treasure - Arizona's Lost Dutchmen mine Lost Heirs - Charlie Scheel The Investigators - Dorothy Allison The Unexplained - St. James Hotel Update Then there could be a link to an update article or other related links. |

TJ - I'll email you my list later tonight and you are more than welcome to use the detailed descriptions I wrote. A word of caution though: a lot of my descriptions were written off the Lifetime versions of the episodes and certain stories may have been deleted or added to such airings.
