Default Opinions On Bill Cowher's Situation

Cold Pizza the other morning reported that Bill Cowher is coaching Pittsburgh through 2007. Then he will move to Raleigh, NC to retire as his daughter is going to NC State. Does anyone think he will have his contract reworked/extended & stay in Pittsburgh a couple more years or is he on his way out after finally getting the Super Bowl Championship that had eluded him until last year?? If he does go out at 49-50 years old, that's a pretty young retirement and a great coaching loss for the NFL, as he should one day end up in Canton. Any thoughts??

I hope he doesn't retire because I always like rooting against him. He makes watching Sunday football exciting.

He does do that doesn't he!! He brings real energy to the sidelines. And his jutting jaw reminds you of Shula back in the day.

I get to see a lot of Pittsburgh games and sometimes it looks like he's going to jump out of his skin. j

2007 will make 16 years as coach, I think I would get preety sick of it. Chuck Noll was coach for 22 years, but towards the end of it there was no Super Bowl wins.

This way he is also leaving as a champ basically, even if the team doesn't do great this year, he still got the team the one for the thumb.

BTW my Uncle went to the same school as him and they graduated the same year and were in classes together. My Uncle is nowhere looking at retirement though-lol

Damn that would suck if bill cower retired. He's great and I love his energy. But I think Jerome Bettis a great player that I loved watching should have kept his mouth shut about it being bill's last time and all. I would've slapped him! I think cower should spit on him lol. naw but don't get me wrong I have nothing against Jerome BUT really the bus shoulda kept his trap shut

He's not going back to coach college ball. It was reported that he and his family were moving to Raleigh, NC to retire to be closer to his daughter attending NC State is what they said. No coaching involved.

I will never forget when Bill Cowher made Cordell Stewart CRY on the sidelines because he benched him and CHEWED HIM OUT after doing it-lol
