Default Did this need to be in the script in the ep-"End of the Rainbow:?"

Thelma being PREGNANT????????????-LOL Why if the show was ending? We were never going to see her have the baby in the beginingof the 1979-80 season so why put it in the script?

You didn't need to see the baby, We didn't see their new apartment either but it was in the script.

The Apt is something diiferent, a pregnancy on a sitcom usually is in the script because it's setting the stage for a NEW SEASON or the show is headed in a different direction.

On ADW in the season finale Whitely was pregnant and they were moving to Japan. And everyone knew that it wasn't coming back for another season.

Denise was pregnant on the end of Cosby. I don't think it's dumb, they have to leave you wanting more, that's why it's TV.

What I really wanted to see in the finale was the Evans leaving the apartment for the last time. Instead, everyone just pretty much says what's going to happen to them and then it's over. I was expecting a little more, like a goodbye scene of some sort.

As for the baby, I guess it was just another high note to leave the characters on. Plus it gave a good reason for Florida to move in with them - to help raise the baby.

No, Kieth and Thelma's baby would have been born in 1980 so it would be 26 and Whitely and Dwayne's baby would been born in 94 so it would be 12.

I agree - at the end of the ep, the apartment would've been cleaned out and Flo would turn off the lights and shut the door for the last time. Similar to how Mary Tyler Moore and Barney Miller ended.

Speaking of Thelma and Keith - if their baby was born in 1980, they'd most likely be GRANDPARENTS by now!!
