Christina Ricci Sent Sex Photos to Land Role - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

HOLLYWOOD - Christina Ricci was so determined to prove she could play a promiscuous sexual abuse victim, she sent the film's director explicit photos of herself.
The Monster actress was intent on landing a role in writer/director Craig Brewer's film Black Snake Moan and decided to take a risk by sending him risqué snaps.

Ricci says she fought hard for the role and had a good audition, but filmmakers were unsure if she could tap into the character's carnal desires.

She explains, "My agent started inundating Craig Brewer with photo shoots I had done that are pure sex shots!"

The 26-year-old star spent most of the film half-naked chained to a radiator and says she remained half-clad between takes to channel her character Rae's shame.

Ricci claims she used pop stars Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson as her role models while playing the sexually explicit character.

She adds, "She has Britney Spears’ hair and Jessica Simpson's inappropriate wardrobe.

"This is just a microcosmic example of the over-sexualization of young girls and children. Even though she's not really a child, she looks like one."

I can't believe she used those two as her role models to play that part. An actress would know how to do what is required if they really wanted a part. That's why it's called ACTING. I hope she is just kidding abt those two girls.

When she said using them as role models for the part, she didn't mean emulating their acting style or how they would approach the role.

She meant that she was using them as a basis of the trampy nature of her character. If anything I think it was a swipe at Spears and Simpson.

In a recent interview Miss Ricci said she will probably never be a big time Hollywood leading lady becasue at 5'1", she's too short.

But if she keeps sending nudie pics to directors, I'm sure she'll always have work.
