hey i was just thinking of who would win in a war of wits or yelling war between Archie Bunker and Roesanne could u just see these 2 going at it i think it would be just classic.i doubt Archie could take her on like he does everyone else

Roseanne would win but what would they be arguing about Archie does not rule he's a close minded ignorant biggot All in the family rules the whole thing with the other people Archie didn't have jokes he would just fight and yell Edith ruled

Roseanne would totally win.

Archie is a bigot and his points wouldn't make logical sense. Whereas Roseanne's would make sense and eventually she'd win.

I'm bumping up an old thread to vote for Roseanne. The OP asked who would win in a battle of wits? Well, Roseanne is much smarter than Archie. But who isn't?

Now, in a yelling war? It would be a close one. I'm still guessing it would be Roseanne, though.

Archie could really get going and spout off his ignorant opinions. The deeper he got into something, the more ignorant he sounded. When Roseanne got fired up, her intellect and scathing wit got sharper. She would walk circles around Archie.

The interesting question is who would have the last word? They were both too stubborn to back down!

it be funny if both familes got involved Archie Bunker sees what disfunctional family she got proably think they was one of Meatheads realitves lol then Gloria start yelling at one of them proably Archie

i think Archie would have the last word and proably try take over the family chair he and dan proably get along good lol.

yeah edith stood up to Archie a few differnt times im sure Mike n Gloria be involved somehow lol Mike be spending time at the lunchbox lol getting the special of the day.

Roseanne proably be inpressing seeing Edith stand up to archie few times she be talking to her mom r jackie telling them her realtive stories.

Great question! I'm not sure who would actually win, all I know is that it would be fun to see any debate between the two....and just for the record, I like Archie better. Though he didn't make much sense most of the time, the man stood firmly to his convictions....yes, I know Rosanne did too, but I just thought Archie was funnier about twisting stuff to where he knew what he meant, regardless if anyone else did or not. Another thing, I can't really recall an episode where I became fed up with Archie as I did with Rosanne. There were times when I thought that Rosanne was an outright bitch, like when she got pregnant that last time and they thought something was wrong with the baby? She was a complete bitch to Dan when thinking and saying it was all HER decision on what happens! She was not fair in father's rights at all, even in Jackie's pregnancy with Fred.....though she finally agreed that Fred had a right to be involved, she was a bitch about that too. Anyway, I have made my point.

i always like respected Archie bunker more then roseanne he cared for his family didnt treat them like dirt crap or anything like roseanne did most of the times and was not as dramadic Archie would win hands down,now bring maude in the fight then ya got something
