George had a signature walk, sort of a back and forth strut. I often wonder if that walk was stereotypical of blacks, like when bigots refer to blacks "shuffling along." Was his walk stereotypical and insulting to blacks? What do you think?

I think he walked like that because he was proud of himself, which he should have been. He made a success out of himself.

My friends in high school would get a kick out of me when I would imitate George and his walk. I loved it. IT WAS GEORGE ALL THE WAY!

The first time I had seen him walk like that, I was LMAO! which of course was during the opening credits as you pointed out. I never get tired of that walk.
