Default Brave New World Ep

Am i the only one who thinks that the college part of things is a little unrealistic? They show how lax it seems to be with naked guys in towels walking around, guys hanging out in blair's room... but they have another den mother who is checking the rooms to make sure nobody else is living there...

Here at my college, people end up switching rooms or moving out and paying for their room all of the time. My roommate last year moved into a house with her boyfriend and only had like 2 shirts in our dorm almost the whole year! And we certainly don't have den mother's checking our rooms or anything like that... RA's just take care of the drunk people... that's about it...

But any other comments on this episode?

It is unrealistic in the sense of probably having a dorm mother so concerned with checking everyone's rooms for visitors and such. There are colleges withe curfews and things like that, but they are mostly smaller Christian/religiously affiliated colleges.

We've never been given any indication that Langley has any religious affiliation so it is sort of weird. I guess it's the 80's sitcom sanitized version of college.

Default actually???

I think they did this episode great!! Of course tootie and natalie are going to freak out in a guy in a towel for one they are still high school girls and two -- they go to an all girl school.....

The den mother thing was probably something they had in the 80's much like our RA's. And some universities are more strict than others, but we had curfews at our dorm and only the same sex was allowed to sleep over.

I have a bad feeling that our local Chicagoland station which airs FOL is going to take it off the air after September 15th. This means I will not have a chance to see "Brave New World". I was also looking forward to seeing "Gamma Gamma or Bust" and seeing Jami Gertz as Boots St. Clair.

I'm actually not sure, I just have a bad feeling about it. Last week during Facts, ME showed a montage of clips from shows that they will be airing this fall, and they did not show any Facts clips.
