What could have happened before Mrs. Gordon and Penny moved to the projects...........
________________________________________
I am making a little story of what could have happened before Mrs. Gordon and Penny moved in to the same project building as the Evanses(and Willona's)........................

Lenola Gordon and her daughter Penny lived in Alderman Davis Projects, Project 29. She would abuse Penny and give her bruises. Penny's teacher at school wondered where Penny was getting her bruises and Penny always said that she fell down or bumped her head against walls. She also said that she tripped over her cat a lot. Her teacher originally thought that she was just clumsy, until he really watched her behavior at recess and when she was just walking around in school and in the classrooms. This girl was NOT clumsy at all. She was one of the best kids at recess games and very coordinated. She was also the best student to make up stories when she had to write and tell stories to other students. She was a GREAT storyteller and the teacher wondered about her. He also noticed that Penny would come in VERY early, and was scared of the dismissal bell. She was always the last student to leave and always begged to stay longer at school. She got good grades as a result of this, but her teacher was REALLY suspicious now. He called her mother, Mrs. Gordon to talk to her about Penny's condition. The next day, Penny came to school with a black eye, a busted lip, and black and blue bruises on her arms.

"My goodness, Penny, what happened to you?" he asked aghast.

Penny said, "A juvenile gang member beat me up before I went to school today," she said, shakily and trying to hold back tears.
"Penny, come here," he said softly. "Did your mother do this to you?" Penny looked down.
He said, "You can tell me anything."
Just then, Mrs. Woods burst into the door, looking frantic.
"Penny, I told you not to come to school today!" She looked like a madwoman..........

In a calmer voice she told Penny's teacher, "She really wasn't supposed to come today. A kid beat her up yesterday....." The teacher looked at Mrs. Woods suspiciously. I thought Penny was beat up "today", he thought suspiciously.
Out loud, he said, "She's already here. Why don't you let her stay?"

"NO!" Mrs. Gordon screamed out furiously. "Look at her! She can't stay in school looking like this!"

The teacher calmly said, "I'll just tell her classmates that she was attacked by a juvenile gang member."

"No you won't! Penny is coming home with me right now!" She said forcefully and loudly.

She forcefully grabbed Penny's arm, and then when she realized that the teacher was staring at them curiously, she let go of Penny and began to stroke her cheek softly. "Honey, you have to go home now", she said in a contrived soft voice.

The teacher saw fear in Penny's eyes as she said, "Okay, mama. We can go home now."

The teacher said, "Fine." And let them walk out the door. But he called the police and told them to stay in front of The Gordon apartment and by the time Penny and her mother came home, there were cops waiting for them.

"Oh my goodness. The cops are here." she said. The cops sternly asked Mrs. Gordon what happened to Penny. Mrs. Gordon said that she was attacked while she was playing Hopscotch yesterday, "Who did this to you?" a cop asked Penny, looking at her sternly but concerned. Penny hesitated as she said, "It was a tall boy. He was dark cocoa brown and very skinny. I think he was about 15. I think he was a juvenile gang member. I think he was a Junior Warlord."

"What time were you beat up?" Penny hesitated again and looked at her mother with uncertain eyes. "Then she slowly answered.”It was about 5:00 clock yesterday."

The other cop said to her mother, "Ma'am? Are you sure this is correct?" "I'm sure it is." "We'll be watching you two." He said. They left.

Penny's mother said, "We are out of these projects. We're leaving tomorrow. We're packing tonight and finding a new place and a new school for you. ." They packed their bags and Mrs. Gordon got out of the lease for the apartment and they left. They spent the next day and night in a motel, and then they found new projects called, Project 50.

The end (Or is it)? Project 50 is The Evanses and Willona's apartment...........

It's OK, but there is a "Fan Fiction" category you could put this in. Keep scrolling down from "80's Sitcoms", "70's Sitcoms", etc. until you get to "Fan Fiction".
