Do you think that Damien Echols, James Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley committed these murders or was it somebody else?

I believe it was someone else, In my opinion it was John Mark Byers, Christopher's father.
There was never any physical evidence found against them. Just that they liked metal and wore band t shirts. All they have is a authority led confession by Jessie Miskelley who is known to be mentally handicapped. I mentioned before, Arkansas is a big boys club. They want to save face and not be wrong. Just as in the Ives/Henry case, they are afraid of the truth coming out. I wished UM would have covered it, besides the HBO documentaries. Has any other True Crime shows profiled it? I hadn't seen any. |

I don't think they should have been convicted, but I am not convinced of their innocence either. I haven't seen the movie since its release, but it struck me as somewhat manipulative - I think the order of some of the trial scenes were presented out of order for effect. I might feel differently if I saw it today.
I dropped in on a WM3 site one day and there were definitely some seemingly reasonable people who tend to think the boys are guilty. |
