Default Did Weezy deserve the insults from Mother Jefferson?

Weezy didn't deserve them, but you have to admit, they were funny. Mother Jefferson insulted Weezy everytime she made in appearance. I always looked forward to seeing Mother Jefferson just so I could hear an insult. LOL

Cool

I would say she did not deserve the insults, but they were hilarious tho. Then again Weezy fired right back at her to make it double the fun.

I can kind of relate to Mother Jefferson now since my Mom is seeing a guy that I feel is not much. So Mother Jefferson basically felt like George could do a lot better than Louise and that's how I feel about my Mom's current situation-lol

Oh Kool, I so agree with you. It was so damn funny. True, those insults were totally uncalled for...but it sure made for some funny moments.

George couldn't do better because it took a great lady to put up with George and his antics, attitude and shortness.

I really liked Mother Jefferson, but she was out of line. It's not like George and Louise were just dating. They were married for years and had a child together.

That is, a MAN WITH $$$$ instead of believing in your man and sticking with him through rough times hoping he will make it big some day....

If that is what you think makes a great lady, I feel sorry for you. So what if Barbara's character was better looking...IT DIDN'T MAKE HER A BETTER WOMAN overall. Louise had character, charm, was devoted, honest and loved him NO MATTER WHAT.

Weezy was devoted to George and wouldn't drop him for anyone. She loved him. The character played by Barbara didn't love him, or she wouldn't have left him for some jive turkey that had "instant money" who later on ended up with nothing.

Gosh, Mother Jefferson treated poor Weezy like poo. Mother Jefferson was worse than the typical mother-in-law. I never understood why she was so mean to Louise. Weezy was with George way before he had any money, so Mother Jefferson should just be glad that her son wasn't mixed up with some gold-digger.
