Hello, All,
A special Raccoon "Woo woo" to everyone - especially all the posters I remember from the late lamented board at honeymooners.net. After reading the threads here, I finally decided to stop hiding and join the community. I have a request for some information from the seasoned experts. Recently, I purchased sheet music for two Duddy and Bresler penned songs from the Trip to Europe episodes: "Tu Si Bella" from "When In Rome" and "Confusion, Italian Style" and "If I Must Die" from "Away We Go" and "Ship of Fools." Both tunes were published by Songsmiths with a 1957 copyright. I suspect they are editions from the fifties as they carry a 50 cent cover price. (If they were from the sixties, they would have cost sixty cents.) I have collected other Gleason related sheet music from Song Smiths including "Melancholy Serenade," "You're My Greatest Love," "My Love Song To You," "La La La...," and "It's Such A Happy Day," but this is the first time I've run across music from the musical Honeymooners catalog. My question: does anyone know if any of the other Duddy/Bresler tunes were published? This was a great discovery for me. One of the great things about collecting Gleason/Honeymooners memorabilia is that jusy when you think that you know about everything that was made, a new item pops up unexpectedly. |

Judging from what you're saying, it's possible that other songs from the original 1957 "Trip-to-Europe" saga (that were revived in 1966) were published as sheet music at the first run. I can't say for sure whether the other musical numbers of the other (non-"TTE") episodes were likewise on sheet music, however.

Hi Mark. It's about time you joined us. The dues are just $3.00 per year, up from $2.00 last year.

Mark. One more thing I forgot to mention. Payment of your dues also enable you to receive a reduced rate on Mambo lessons given on Monday nights by Carlos Sanchez at the Kramden's apartment on Chauncy Street. If in any given week, the Kramdens are evicted, the lessons will be held at the Nortons.
