I don't know what the problem is, but the site is extremely slow moving. I thought it might be my computer, but the other sites I go to are moving just fine.

It was like that the other day for me, I couldn't get SO to open up or when I clicked a thread, nothing, but now it's just fine. I think it is just some sort of glitch.

it always goes out for me at random times. sometimes it's long and sometimes it's not. today it tried to install a virus into my computer (some pop up download thing).

I haven't noticed any major slowdowns. There might be an occasional time when an ad hangs that prevents a page from loading. There are also spikes when a lot of searches are being done that might cause some things to load a bit slower. There are a lot of factors. Even if the boards are slow, I don't think you would notice anything on the main site and regular html pages.
