In the episode where marcia is the head of the davey jones fan club and then tells her school that he would sing at their prom, and yet marcia doesnt even know davey jones, what does mom and dad do? try to pull some strings to get her close to davey jones, thats setting a bad example to your kids, she lied to the school and I know that jones sent her a letter saying he would do this if he was in town but marcia had no commitment at the time, if this happen to 1 of us we would be treated as an outcast in our school, the fact is my mom would have said you made the promise and you deal with the reprocusions, of course gregs idea was the best of them all or was it alices idea to pose as bus boys at the hotel and greg told her to go to the studio where he was cutting a record?
Bobby lies to his friends and says joe namath has dinner at our house when he is in town LOL and bobby doesnt even know joe namath, and didnt mom make an attempt to pull some strings for bobby even though him and cindy lied about bobby dying, this to me sends a bad message, I was always taught that if you play with matches your going to get burnt, if you tell lies then you going to get caught. |

You do have a point about those scenarios. I think that they tried to make it look like the parents care about their kids and would do anything to help them.

I think I mentioned this topic before, but anyhow, YES...it was very stupid for the parents to try and "help" their kids for being morons. Marcia was old enough to know better. Even her friend told her that fan letter was just a standard one, nothing personal.
As for Bobby, that was plain outright lying. In my household, those kids would have suffered the repercussions of their actions. |

Oh, what about the episode of 'Love and the Older Man'? The parents were stupid in that.

LOL, the funniest line in that episode is when Carol and Mike hear about what Bobby told his friends... she says to Bobby "We don't even KNOW Joe Namath" and then turns to Mike and says "Do we, Mike?"... LOL, as if she wasn't sure whether they knew Joe Namath or not! Cracks me up! Carol could use that line with just about anyone... "We don't even KNOW the Beatles, do we, Mike?" |
