Default Favorite Episode from Season 1

Now that you have the dvd and watched the dvd or maybe you saw a few so far. Well tell me what was your favorite episode?

My favorite episodes were when Anne and Don went on a picnic and had to go to see her parents after that. Don wasn't to happy to be going after what happen to him. Also in one of the episodes I didn't understand the mop thing in one of the episodes. She looked really wierd. I also don't like the neighbor. Only one thing. Her voice.

Default Favorite Episode from Season 1

The one where Ann goes on "The Mating Game", a takeoff on "The Dating Game", in which Ann is unaware that Don is one of the three contestants, and ends up picking Eduardo, played by Alejandro Rey. While not as slapsticky as the "Laverne & Shirley" ep with Lenny and Squiggy turning up on "DG", this one was really memorable.

I haven't watched every episode yet, but so far I like Anatomy of a Blunder (#5 the picnic episode),
Christmas And The Hard Luck Kid (#16 Ann takes care of a young boy on Christmas), and Among My Souvenirs (#17 Ann finds souvenirs from her old boyfriend).

"Anatomy of a Blunder" and "Rain, Snow, and Rice" are my two favorites. TVLand aired a lot of the great ones this weekend from the first season, and I really liked them all. "Soap Gets in Your Eyes," "The Mating Game," and "Author, Author" were three of my favorites as well.

Default favorite ep!

My favorite episode is "Phantom Of The Horse Opera." Can't say why, but I just really like this one. Ann and Don try to help out this poor man who's only joy is playing a pipe organ at night and the twist to the story at the end is completely unexpected. I like quite a few of the first season shows, including "Christmas And The Hard Luck Kid" and "Beware Of Actors Bearing Gifts."

My favorite season 1 episode is the pilot which introduced us to and showed us how Ann and Don met.

My favorite episodes from season 1 are: "Anatomy of A Blunder" and "Rain, Snow and Rice" (I think thats the title where Ann and Donald go with Jerry and Margie to get married, but Ann and Donald end up having to share a room together).
BTW: ComedyFreak, I LOVE that line from the Mary Tyler Moore Show: "I haven't seen Ted this angry since they cancelled My Mother the Car." I LOVE the show and that was a funny line!!!

Picking just one is really hard as I thought all were great - but if I have to - I'd go for the first ep where Ann and Don meet.

"Anatomy of a Blunder" for sure. They get the car stuck in the mud, Don loses one of his contacts & he hurts his foot. It's just one funny disaster after another.

I also liked "Soap Gets In Your Eyes". Ann plays a soap opera character that everyone dislikes & when she meets Don's parents, Mrs. Hollinger believes Ann is really like that soap character.

Unless I'm mistaken, Alejandro returned for a late-series episode (different character). Probably completed his work on The Flying Nun by then. Anyway, in that later one, he was wearing such a thick moustache that he's barely recognizable...!

I'm trying to remember if Ted Bessell (as Frankie) played one of the "Dating Game" contestants on Gomer Pyle -- I believe Jim Nabors (Gomer) and Frank Sutton (Sgt. Carter) were the other two. The winner went out with Jeannine Riley's character.

I like "All About Ann." Where Ann thinks Don is cheating on her with a blond from her acting class. A young Rob Reiner makes a guest appearance in this ep.

Crazy "Twinkie is the drinkie for young people on the move!"

I'm not sure if I had the right season, but there was the episode where Don is coaching Ann to appear in a soft-drink commercial and it is full of silly moments.

First, the jingle: "Twinkie is the drinkie for young people on the move...if you dig action, you'll love Twinkie...and you'll be in the groove."

Unfortunately, Don has trouble with the second line because he doesn't like the producr, so Ann trains him to think "cocoa" to improve his delivery. So naturally, it comes out,

"...if you dig action, you'll love cocoa--"

not to mention that Don pushes Ann so hard during one take, she rolls out of camera range and crashes to the studio floor!
