Default Even Though I liked the Carl Character, I think he was a LITTLE out of Line in the ep

"My Son, the Father". The argument was between Florida and J.J and I really didn;t see the need for him to step in and say-"Hold it there soldier that's your mother you are talking to" I wish a guy would have came in my mom life's and started telling me how to speak and only was in her life for 15 min. I would have been like-"Do you want to take this outside?-lol That was the only problem i had with Carl, other than that, he was a lot of FUN to watch

All of the characters talked to J.J. like he was crap and J.J. was nothing but sweet. Florida, James, Michael, Thelma, Wilona, and Carl. I think the only one that spoke nicely to J.J. was Penny.

Oh yeah, Thelma's husband Keith also had a lot of nerve when he blamed J.J. for his injury.

I love J.J.

Thumbs down as has been stated

the overwhelming majority of the viewers
HATED CARL
he was rude and pompous
ugly and gangly (the black LURCH!)
an atheist which florida would NEVER have been ok with
and she started to date him only a few months after James died

EVEN ESTHER ROLLE HATED THE CARL CHARACTER
i did a poll last month, and i think 90+% of the people hate carl too!

LOL. Yeah, you're right. But I felt bad for J.J. because I liked him so much and I liked the way he really grew up and stepped up to take care of his family when James died. J.J. had a lot of talent, too. Whoever did those paintings for Jimmie Walker was/is AWESOME.

Yep, J.J. was definitely goofy, but I found him so loveable. I see you've got Lionel Jefferson in your avatar. Now Lionel is a hundred times more intelligent than J.J., but I just adore J.J. so much more.

About Carl: I didn't like the way he acted at that restaurant when it was his and Florida's first date. Plus, he was originally going to take her to "The Burger Pit" until the kids told him to take her someplace nice.

JJ was funny. Most of the time that he opened his mouth, I knew I was going to laugh. I liked Lionel but I think he was more funny on AITF. His scenes with Archie were classic.
