Question Favorite Chicago Songs

There has been some debate between Irene and I during the last couple of months over the rock band Chicago. The debate has been over which of their songs are good and which are not. Chicago seems to be a band that cuases a great deal of debate. Much of it having to do with the fact that their sound was much different in the 1980's than it had been during the 1970's. And fans seem to pefer one era of the band over the other. So let's see what the popular opnion is.

My top 10 favorite Chicago songs:

1. "If You Leave Me Now" (1976)
2. "You're The Inspiration" (1984)
3. "No Tell Lover" (1978)
4. "Beginnings" (1969)
5. "Hard Habit To Break" (1984)
6. "25 or 6 to 4" (1978)
7. "Wishing You Were Here" (1974)
8. "Will You Still Love Me" (1986)
9. "Call On Me" (1974)
10. "Another Rainy Day In New York City" (1976)

Basically any music done by Chicago after "No Tell Lover" is nothing I would care to listen to. Chicago from the early 70's and late 70's is when they are at their best.
The brass section and that jazzy sound is something they lost with their 80's ballads aka "hallmark card cheesy poem" stuff.

Here is my list:

Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?
Beginnings
Colour My World
25 Or 6 To 4
Saturday In The Park
Just You 'N' Me
Wishing You Were Here
If You Leave Me Now
Baby, What A Big Surprise
No Tell Lover

Maybe this thread could have been a poll. Chicago from the 70's or Chicago from the 80's or Both.

Oh yeah, I even bought their 30th anniversary cd when I was 15, back in 1997. Peter Cetera and the rest of the Chicago gang, were pretty much the soundtrack of my life growing up. Love those guys!!!

All of the ones mentioned. I also like 'Old Days'. Chicago doesn't have a bad song, in my opinion.

There's another one that I don't know the title....

Searching.....good things in life, take a long time.

Anyone know the song?

My favorite songs by Chicago are "Hard For Me To Say I'm Sorry" and "Baby, What A Big Surprise."

Peter Cetera did a duet with Cher and he sounded really good. I just can't think of the name of the song.

(I've Been) Searchin' So Long

As my life goes on I believe
Somehow something's changed
Something deep inside
Ooh a part of me

There's a strange new light in my eyes
Things I've never known
Changin' my life
Changin' me

I've been searchin'
So long
To find an answer
Now I know my life has meaning
Ow oh

Now I see myself as I am
Feeling very free
Life is everything
Ooh it's meant to be
When my tears have come to an end
I will understand
What I left behind
Part of me

I've been searching
So long
To find and answer
Now I know my life has meaning
Woah woah

Searching
Don't you know I'm hell yeah
For an answer
To the question
Oh yeah
For our minds
Baby
Baby it's true
It's only natural
It's only natural baby, yeah
Good things
In life
Take a long time
yeah yeah
