Starring Patrick Duffy and Candice Bergin as John and Nancy Wallenberg, a recently retired Pennsylvania couple. John is a newly-retired lawyer, and Nancy is a newly-retired psychologist. John and Nancy have been married for 32 years now. They have three children: Steven (Neil Patrick Harris), Christine (Jennifer Elise Cox), and Samantha (Ashley Johnson). Steven is a 28-year-old egotistical bank branch executive who thinks he's "God's gift to women". Christine is a 25-year-old ditzy beautician who'd rather have several one night stands than to hold an actual relationship. Samantha is a 23-year-old college graduate who is stuck at a crossroad in her life: to take the-chance-of-a-lifetime job offer in NYC or to turn it down to be with her beloved family and work at a job that she loves.
