Jail episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching today's episode of when the gang entertains at the jail...and in the part where Rob and Buddy are dressing in the warden's office...Buddy undoes his short and tie and hangs them up and in the same scene a few seconds later he goes and take the shirt and tie off the rack and puts them on again with no explanation. I wonder if he undressed too quickly for the punchline at the end and tried to correct it without stopping.

I was watching the same episode today, I missed the beginning of the show. The part that I was wondering about was the singing duet between Rob and Laura.They sing the song " I Got Your Number". TV Land totally cut that part out. The duet is on the The Dick Van Dyke Show dvd series. I checked it out today after I saw the episode on TV Land.

I think that one might have just been to show everyone Buddy's crazy shorts lol.

Maybe he forgot his suit for the act and didn't realize it until after he had gotten undressed.
