Default Worst actor/actress on the show

I have to go with "old" Eve.

I just watched the episode in which Marcia and Greg bet on the license results and the sub plot with Jan's "debate team" was a fairly terrible performance. Eve as she got older was so utterly unconvincing and hollow it's tough to watch. Her attempts at being "sad" or depressed are depressing... which is strange because in the shows first few years she was one of the better performers, I wonder what happened??

She seems to have been the one, then and later, who was most sensitive and often resentful about her perceived identity being her BB character. So she may have been inclined to not put so much into the character, and maybe even make Jan less appealing and convincing.

The one person that sticks out in my mind as someone who could not act was not a Brady kid....it was the girl that played "Linda" on the episode where Greg was in love with his teacher...not the teacher Linda, but that girl with the dark hair that was from "Seatttttle" haha, and she said; "well.....there's one boy i Liiiike" .....

Please take no offense anybody but I thought Linda looked like a mini transvestite.

LOL!

If we are doing character guest stars, two that are so obvious, they get "Idiot acting awards!!!" (Drumroll Please.................)

Skip Farnum and Tank Gates!!! The only thing is, for worst actor, I don't know which one to put first! LOL!

I actually like Skip. Not sure why so many hate this guy! He totally works for me in that "insane" 70's TV sort of way. Plus the Adios Johnny Bravo "record producers" are much in the same vein as being over the top and people don't seem to mind, I love all of them.

Yeah... I thought for the most part, the kids were all pretty good and natural. But the 'older' Jan really did seem to slip quite a bit from her earlier performances.

I've heard and read that Sherwood deliberately gave Jan some of the more complicated episodes early on, because he thought she was the best actor of any of the kids (he also thought Bobby was the best actor among the boys).

But yeah, her performance, particularly in THAT episode (the Debate one) was not good at all...not that the script for her part was that good either.. but she didn't do much with it.

She sure was appealing to ME in that last season
(Not so much for her acting ability as...um...other reasons).

But I know what you mean!

I didn't think she did that well, acting wise, in the Miss Popularity episode either... although she was, of course, quite hot!

I also think Skip Farnum was fun. Maybe the reason Jack really hates that episode ("And Now A Word From Our Sponsor"), is because Barry Williams singled this show out in his book, as being the one Robert Reed really despised. The line that really stuck out for Reed was the one where Mike has to look over the contract, and say he "just doesn't understand all this legal mumbo-jumbo". Coming off of the highly acclaimed series "The Defenders", where his character worked on legal problems every week, you could probably understand Robert Reed's frustration with having to say a line like that.

Besides this reason, I can't figure out why Jack constantly puts this fun little episode at the bottom of his list, when there are clearly many others that should go underneath it.

Jack...am I missing your reasoning here?

Another horrible actor is Steve on the "Kelley Kids." He is really stiff and you can see him mouthing the lines when Duane talks.

Jan stumbles on her lines and it really bothers me when she says "Norris Coombs" the first time instead of "Nora Coombs" in "Her Sister's Shadow."

All the Brady kids are terrible actors when they have to act excited and jump around as a group.

Madame X, I am confused. How is Steve "mouthing the lines when Duane talks"? Does that mean Steve is echoing Duane's lines?

Welcome to the boards, by the way!
