Question Favorite and least favorite school lunches?

This is probably the last thing many of you younger members want to be thinking about right now with it being Summer break and all, but what were some of your favorite and least favorite hot lunches when you were in school?? My favorite, and the day that I always got a hot lunch, was when they served burritos. The burritos were just these small, cheap little doughy things, but I absolutely loved them. I also liked when they would serve jo jo's, tater tots, (when they weren't under cooked), and chicken nuggets. I hated pizza day. They always served that nasty, stale hamburger helper pizza that made me want to vomit everytime I'd look at it. Even worse than the pizza though, was when they'd serve rice pillaf. Oh my goodness, that stuff was just plain nasty!! uke: Anyway, I'm sure it's been asked before, but what were/are your favorite, and least favorite school lunches??

I went to catholic school from first thru 8th grade, so we had to take our own lunches. We had hot lunch on Thursdays. It was always HOT DOGS. Mmmmmm, they were so damn good. When i packed a lunch it was usually a tuna sandwich, chips, cookies or those mini-donuts. They served milk at the school.

In high school, I went to public school and enjoyed a cafeteria for the first time. The burritos were DA BOMB!!!!!!!!!!

When I was in 9th grade, my school had the BEST bacon/lettuce/tomato sandwiches and tator tots Then the school did away with the bacon (not nutritious enough, I think?) and we all mourned.

I also loved the french pizza boats and chicken nuggets as well.

I pretty much disliked everything else, especially their dried out hamburger patties

i was never much of a school lunch person. now at college i eat three meals a day in the dining hall. i don't think there's any meal i look forward to there, lol. the food is usually either decent or sometimes really bad. but i do LOVE when they have tater tots for breakfast in the morning. my day just starts off so much better when i can have my TOTS.

Peanut Butter Bars. I miss those things so much. I've tried duplicating them and it just never works.

The actual food stunk. I stopped eating hot lunch after elementary.

Hmmm:

Well when I was in elm/middle school, I brought a bag lunch everyday expept friday (PIZZA DAY, HAAAAY!11) Most of the time, I got:
a ham and cheese sandwich
pudding pack
Chips (I always traded these. never been a big chip fan)
juice
and sometimes soup in a thermous

But now that I'm in high school, I eat from the cafeteria 99.9% of the time. My favorite is the Cheese fries. Those things are so delicious! My least favorite is the hamburgers. they taste like ass and cardboard.

I always took my lunch to school, I never really ate the schools lunches except for Pizza Day and Nacho day in elementary school. But the Nacho's were delicious, I don't know what kinda cheese they used, but it was damn good.

Jeez...it's been a very long time since I've been in high school...16 years. I loved the cafeteria hamburgers there and my middle school had awesome pizza, but my high school had lousy pizza. Oh, and my high school also had really lousy tacos.

I don't really remember what my favorite foods were, but I do remember the snacks at the snack bars in middle and high school.

Middle School: Cornuts.
High School: Buttered bread (it was this toasted roll smoothered with butter and with grape or strawberry jelly! Mmmmm!)

I just like the fact that there is such thing as a lunch period at school.
