His name was Lee Selywn - He was a california disc jockey and also enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends along the streets of Hollywood at night.
Lee's death was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. While riding with his friends they encountered a motorist who tried to run them off the road. One of Lee's friends confronted the guy when the reached a stoplight and the motorist spit in their faces. Lee's friend punched out the guys mirror before they pulled off from the stoplight. The motorist now enraged chased after Lee Selwyn and ran him into a telephone pole. Selwyn flew several hundred feet and suffered a severe skull fracture which ended his life. Years later, a man named Franklin McGram Perkins bragged to another inmate that he had run down a motorcyclist in Los Angeles. This along with tips from Lifetime viewers brought about a resolution to the case as Perkins was charged in the death of Selwyn in 1993 after Lee's friends identified him from a photo lineup.. |

Oh, I remember that case now. I thought he was a biker and didn't know that he was a DJ.
