Default Anyone bite their nails?

I know I used to have this obsession to bite my nails down as far as they could when I was in middle school. During school, I wouldn't even know I was doing it! Then I got braces and I didn't bite, but unfortunately, now when I'm nervous, I rip the skin around my fingers. And I have such nice hands, now I let my nails grow and I have loooong fingers, but they look terrible cause of the skin. Anyone else?

I don't bite my nails, but I do have a habit of ripping them off.

I've never bitten my nails. I hate when people do it around me. I have a relative whose fingers are always in her mouth. I don't say anything, but it makes me sick. Sometimes, it looks like she's got half her hand in her mouth.

I know some people can't help it, but watching them bite their nails sickens me too, although not quite as bad as seeing someone cut their toenails. Talk about nasty!

When I was in High School and College I use to bite my nails, it was a bad habit. But since graduating from College I started to get manicures and pedicures, so now I've kicked that habit.

I bite my nails. Sometimes I'll go for a week or so without biting them, and they'll grow a little, and then I'll bite them again, and they'll be as short as they were before.

Yeah, I bite off my nails. But it's not a SERIOUS SERIOUS SERIOUS habit with me. I don't bite them chronically, and I don't bite my thumbnails (I trim them with a nail clipper and nail file to smooth the edges). My nails look nice and all that. Sometimes they just look like I trimmed off the nails with my teeth. It used to be a lot worse when I was a kid, so I guess I'm growing out of it now.

I've always bitten them. I think it must be some kind of female trait in my family. My grandma, aunt and mom all bite their nails. I'm actually trying to keep them nice right now. They are the longest they've been in years.

LOL, I was biting my nails as I came across this thread.

I don't bite them in public though.

I am very guilty of this. I usually bite them when I am nervous.
