Default Anyone Refuse to go to Work on their Birthday?

I been making fun of my cousin all morning for going to work on her Birthday Today-lol I never go to work on my Birthday ever since graduating from college. That's my Day for me to do whatever I want to do with it and it's only ONCE a year. Why would I want to be at a job on my B-day. Do anyone else ever put in for a Vacation or personal on their Birthday?

I just usually ask for the day off, more or less. People know it's my birthday, and honestly, no one cares whether I work or not on my birthday.

I always ask for it off. I hate working on my birthday. Like you said Solomon, that's your day to whatever you want. I love taking time off around my bday. This year, I had had a four-day weekend.

Well I do not work, but when my birthday comes up, I sometimes get the day off from school! Sometimes it lands on Columbus day and when it doesn't, we're usually doing PSAT's around that time so for the last 2 years, I've gotten out early on my birthday, soo awesome!!!

If my birthday was on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thurday, I would certainly not take off unless there was something going on (like a daytime event or a concert the night before).

Why would I do that? If I am going to take a day off I'll make it a Friday or Monday to extend the weekend, regardless of the day of my birthday.

That makes much more sense.

I always work on my birthday. I don't think it is that big of a deal.

True, but I just don't see the big deal with working. I don't need to make my birthday like a national holiday.

For like three years in a row it was Report Card day on my Birthday. Last year It was a Snow Day and this year it will be a Saturday which is good since it will be my Senior Year. I will definitely take off work though. Saturday is one of the busiest days. If it was Sunday I don't think I would take off since we get an extra dollar an hour.

My birthday usually falls the week before April vacation, so I don't bother taking it off.

Well I don't have a Schdule or a time frame of when I have to go to work. I don't have to go into work if I don't want to. But this year my Birthday fell on a Sunday so it didn't matter.

True. and besides when it is your birthday, people at work (depending) MAKE A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT. When I worked at this one law firm, I got treated royally that day. I picked whatever restaurant I wanted to go eat lunch at and so forth.
