Were there ever any other non-American Wanted cases on UM, meaning that the crime was commited by a non-american outside american soil? The only one I can think of is the Canidian highway reststop killer. Neither his victims nor the location of his crime was American, and his identity to the best of my knowledge is unknown so his nationality is also an enigma. I am curious why UM did not do more international fugitives profiles, or non-american Missing persons cases for that matter. Many of the missing person cases were of Americans, even if they disseapeared elsewhere(such as Amy Bradley in the Carribean).

I hear what you're saying. My guess would be they thought they would have a better chance of catching a fugitive that was here in the US not to mention the fact that the vast majority of cases they were asked to profile were probably here in the US. I'm not even sure if UM was showed back then in other countries but its possible. As for possibly non-American fugitives committing crime on non-American soil profiled on UM here are a few:
Philip Frazier - he was a Canadian and on his way to the US but I believe he picked up that hitchhiker in Canada who later murdered him. Patrick Kelly - killed suspiciously in Tijuana. Police say traffic accident but family says he was beaten. Claudia Kirschoch - American girl but went missing and possibly murdered (she hasn't been found) in Jamaica. Lucie Turmel - cab driver was murdered in Canada by a Canadian man. Cyanide poisonings in the Virgin Islands. Clifford Sherwood - If you believe he was abducted and/or killed (once again he's never been found) as opposed as taken by his father it would have been on Canadian soil as well. Corinne "Punky" Gustavson - little girl raped and murdered in Canada. |

Yeah. I know UM was an American show, but they went around the world for stories from various other catagories. UFO's, Ghosts(ghosts go to court, among others), Lost Loves(Fritz and the soldiers), Treasure, Legends, Miracles, so I think it would be natural if they did non-american fugitives and missing persons from other countries, especially if the wanted/missing individual was believed to be in the US.
Don't you think it would have been neat if UM team up with Interpol at least once with RS giving the broadcast from the Interpol HQ in France? |

Another few.....
The Blind River Rest Stop Murders and Alex Cooper, although the latter was not really a fugitive from justice, apparently he just was accused of a crime he didn't commit and went on the run because of that. Alex Cooper couldn't produce a birth certificate. Gladly, his family found him, tho. If Cindy James had an accomplice, then he or she would be a Canadian suspect I guess. Just a thought. |

There was one about David O'Neill (? on last name) who murdered a police officer in Ingersoll, Ontario. His mother made an appeal for him to turn himself in.

Don't forget about Amy Bradley, who disappeared on a cruise ship (I believe) near the Bahamas....

His mother didn't appear on camera but her appeal was on audio tape and it was aired. The police thought he may have slipped across the border into the US. I wasn't aware of an update. Was he found in Canada or the US? |
