Kirk - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This will seem completely random, but how come Kirk is a regular cast member? His character isn't exactly a major character, and he's not in every episode. It would make more sense if he was a recurring character like Miss Patty or Babbette. I mean, Kirk is a great character but I don't really get why Sean Gunn is a regular

Yeah, I see what you mean. Kirk was one of the semi regulars like Patty and Babbette, but for some reason he got bumped up to supporting character status, and a spot in the opening credits.

I guess it's who you know in Stars Hollow.

I love Kirk!!!

I don't think the show would be the same without him though! I'm glad he's a regular!

I agree about that, he is very funny and a really good character but I don't think it makes sense that he's a regular

Most of the regulars aren't on all the time. Paris, Lane, Emily and Richard are sometimes absent from an epside.

yeah, Emily and Richard didn't have a big part at all during season 6, especially during the last couple of episodes.

By the way, I finally figured out that your avatar was from "Ballrooms and Biscotti", right? I saw the eppy on ABC family today again, and immediately thought of your avatar! Took me a while lol!
